Capitalism Is Over: The New Order of Technofeudalism

Today, power is increasingly being explained through a concept we hear more often: technofeudalism.

Land has been replaced by digital platforms.

Production lines have been replaced by algorithms.

Peasants have been replaced by users and content creators.

We produce. We share content. We leave data behind. We spend time. We build networks.

Yet the real ownership of that production often does not belong to us. It belongs to the platforms we inhabit.

In short, content creators, entrepreneurs, SMEs, and even large brands are often forced to live “on someone else’s land, under someone else’s rules.”

In the classical order, the landowner controlled most of the value produced on the land. Today, we are facing a similar structure:

The land is digital, and it does not belong to us.

The rules are set by platforms.

Access, visibility, and revenue models can be changed unilaterally.

The uncertainty you feel when an algorithm changes, when your account is restricted, or when a policy update suddenly reshapes your reach is not accidental. It is the reality of a game in which those who create value often do not set the rules.

That is why technofeudalism should not be seen only as a theoretical concept. It is a reality that touches our daily lives.

In the coming period, one of the most critical forms of awareness will be to question:

Which digital spaces do we truly own?

Where does the value we produce accumulate?

Who uses our data, and for what purpose?

Perhaps the real question we should be asking is this:

In the future, will we be able to become digital actors who not only exist on platforms but also build their own spaces, protect their voice and ownership, and position themselves as value partners in the eyes of global companies?

And just as importantly:

How fair and humane is a system whose dynamics can weaken the individual, the worker, and the creator?

For us, this is the very question at the heart of the technofeudalism debate.
